The Brain

Kia Ora Whanau,
This term we have been learning about 'The Brain'. Today, we decided to plan our ideas with words to help us write sentences about the brain.
Check out some of our writing.

Swimming - Learning to use the Flutter Board

Greetings family and friends,
For swimming today the Courageous Cubs and Incredible Two's learnt how to use the Flutter Board. We have become really confident in the water. We challenged ourselves at the end of the lesson by gliding without using a flutterboard. Our teacher kept reminding us that it wasn't a race. We were all focused today and we think that we have improved since our last lesson. What do you think?

Thank you parents for allowing your child to participate. Our next swimming day is on Friday. We can't wait!

Here are some photos and videos of our learning today.

Welcome to 2017

Kia Orana family and friends

Our branding name is "Incredible 2" our teachers name is "Miss Manuele". As a class, we want to make sure that we come to school every day. We have agreed that we will always come to school with a positive attitude and that we will have a "give it a go" attitude.

Parents, please make sure that your child is at school everyday. We are a healthy eating school so please make sure that your child is brining healthy food every day. We have homework every day which includes reading, learning how to write  letters, say their sounds and write some words (Essential List in their homework book). Your child brings home a book bag every day and they will read 2 different books a week. Your child will bring a poem book home on a Friday. Please parents, help your child with their homework.

If you have any questions about your child's learning please come and see the classroom teacher.

Together we can support each other. Together we can learn!

Feeding the Pigs and Chicken

Talofa Lava
In week 2 our class got to feed and look after our pigs and chickens. We have 2 pigs - Percy and Hettie and 2 chickens.
When we were feeding our animals we found a beetroot and passion fruits growing in our garden. We have never seen a beetroot or a passionfruit before so we were really excited. Whaea Lena told us we could pick the fruits to eat. We didn't want to try the beetroot because it looked funny but we wanted to eat the passionfruit. Miss Manuele had to show us how to eat it.

Here are some photos of our adventure.
